Superman Flying Into Chicago This Summer
The Man of Steel is making his way to the Windy City along with some of Hollywood’s biggest names!
Crains’s Chicago Business reports that Warner Bros. will be shooting “Superman: Man of Steel” under the direction of Zack Snyder in Chicago and the suburbs starting this August. The film stars Kevin Costner as Clark Kent’s father, Diane Lane as Clark Kent’s mother and, just announced, Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Of course, as previously announced, the super hero himself will be played by Henry Cavill from “The Tudors.”
Chicago is already home to another super hero, Batman, with both “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight” shooting here.
Word has it that the studio is using a codename for the film, “Autumn Frost.” Clearly that hasn’t worked all that well. Scenes will also be shot in Plano. Plano’s mayor says that Warner Bros. will be shooting a film there, but he did not know which one. Ugh huh!
“Superman: Man of Steel” is set for a December 2012 release.
