CAIRNS

This is just one of the waterfalls I spotted on my way to Kuranda.  It’s a little village in the middle of rainforest in Cairns.  The only way there is by train (or cable car), so I took the train up.

Here is one of the trees I spotted while in the rainforest.  I have no clue what kind it is, but it’s massive.  I was in a cable car on my way back down when I spotted it.  It reminds me of the floating mountains in Avatar. 

And here are a few more animals from the Cairns Tropical Zoo – the spotted python (glad he was behind glass) and the blue-winged kookaburra.  I just like saying kooaburra.
