Oprah: Anderson Cooper Not The Next Oprah
Oprah is getting asked a lot of questions these days about her new network, OWN, but question at the Television Critics Association has promoted attention. Oprah was asked if Anderson Cooper is the next Oprah since Cooper is launching his own daytime show next fall when Oprah is off the air. Her answer was simple: No.
“Will he be the next Anderson Cooper? Yes. This whole idea… it was like me [being asked], ‘Are you going to be the next Phil Donahue?’ I created my own way. I’m a fan of [Cooper's]. Obviously, he’s very talented. It would be interesting to see who does watch him, and what [he'll] do that’s different. And I will be rooting for him. He will not, definitively, will not — what I know for sure — he will not be the next Oprah.”
I agree. I think Anderson has the potential to do well, but I don’t think he’ll ever achieve the success that Oprah achieved. Katie Couric could be the next Oprah. In her own way, but I think she could make a real dent in the daytime talk market. That’s just my two cents.
Happy F***ing New Year! Kathy Griffin to Co-Host With Anderson Cooper…AGAIN!
Screw Rockin’ New Year’s Eve… the best TV event of the night is CNN! YES! Why? Because for the last four years the cable news network has paired uber comic Kathy Griffin with the shy, but adorable Anderson Cooper for a rollicking good time! And this year, they are doing it again!
The duo will host coverage from Friday, Dec. 31, from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.(ET).
Cooper had this to say: “Once again, I’m terrified to be co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve show with Kathy Griffin.” He added, “It’s often bitterly cold, and yet after being with her for a few minutes on live television, I find myself drenched in sweat.”
Griffin dropped the F-bomb last year so no doubt she will try to up the ante this year.
Kevin Spacey on Sexuality: “I don’t live a lie.”

I can’t argue with him. It’s not really anyone’s business. I like Kevin Spacey as an actor and could care less who he sleeps with…men or women. His job is to be an actor and not a spokesperson for gay people.
Now, what about Anderson Cooper?
