The Justin Timberlake/SNL Sketch You DIDN’T See!

For those of you who don’t know, Saturday Night Live does a full dress rehearsal complete with an audience at 8PM on show nights.  That show runs 2 hours.  The producers and actors figure out what sketches worked and what didn’t.  30 minutes is cut from the show and the sketches are re-arranged before the show goes live at 1130pm, eastern time.  Sometimes really good sketches get cut b/c there simply is no time to include them in the live show.  Below is one of those sketches.

Justin Timberlake, who hosted the season finale Saturday to SNL’s highest ratings in 7 years, plays Mozart, but he’s clearly playing himself.  The sketch centers on Mozart who wants to do more than music.  He wants to be an actor too.  Sound familiar???  JT excels at making fun of himself.  Watch closely and you’ll also see him break character and laugh a little at one of his lines.

Best of SNL: Justin Timberlake/Andy Samberg Make It An SNL “3-Way”

Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg did not disappoint last night on Saturday Night Live.  The duo did a Digital Short tri-quel to their “D*ck In A Box” and “Motherlover” videos called “3-Way (The Golden Rule)” featuring cameos by Patricia Clarkson and Susan Sarandon and a huge role by Lady Gaga, last night’s musical guest.   Hilarious…

Best Of SNL: Justin Timberlake Sings His Refusal to Sing

Justin Timberlake didn’t waste any time when he took to the stage for SNL’s season finale Saturday night.  He’s used to being host and musical guest, but last night Lady Gaga was his musical act.  So Timberlake sings about refusing to sing on the show.  Gotta love, JT!

Want to see the follow up to “[bleep] In A Box” and “Motherlover?”  Check it out HERE.

Best of SNL: Timberlake and Gaga Do A Game Show

Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga teamed up to do a “game show” when he hosted the season finale of SNL.  The premise is simple… just tell me “What’s My Name?”  Well, simple for Gaga.  Not for JT.   Missed the show?  You can see more SNL clips HERE.

Pres Obama and Seth Meyers Rock D.C. At Dinner

If you missed President Obama and Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner last night, never fear, both performances are below.  The president went first, of course, and had the room going.  Then M.C. for the night, Seth Meyers, did 20 minutes of political humor that left no party or politician untouched… even The Donald.  Check it out.

Best of SNL: “Secret Word” Game Show

This is one of my favorite SNL skits.  It’s a 1960′s game show supposedly repeating on Game Show Network and Kristen Wiig plays a star who always gives away the secret word.  This time host Gywneth Paltrow gets in on the act.  Too funny.

Best of SNL: New NBC Series You Must See

NBC has a new show called “The Cape,” but SNL took it upon itself to preview some other new NBC shows that tie-in with “The Cape” theme.  Check it out.

Best of SNL: Pee Wee Herman Does A Digital Short

Last night was one of the funniest SNL episodes in a long time, thanks to host Gwyneth Paltrow.  Check out this SNL Digital Short when Andy Samberg and Pee Wee Herman become drinking buddies… and look out for the very funny cameo by one CNN news star, Anderson Cooper.

GLEE SCOOP: Yes to more Gwyneth. No to Bieber.

It’s a GLEE-ful Sunday as I catch up on all my TV scoop.   GLEE EP Ryan Murphy confirms that Gwyneth Paltrow will be re-appearing in not just one, but two more episodes…and get this…she will be dating Will Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison.  She’ll also be teaching sex ed.  Gotta love it.

Speaking of Paltrow, she’s hosting Saturday Night Live on January 15th with musical guest Cee Lo Green.  Paltrow sang his song, “F**k You,” on GLEE…although it was “Forget You” for the TV audience.

And shooting down a popular Internet rumor, Murphy says there will NOT be a Justin Bieber episode.  He says those episodes are reserved for people with big music catalogs…(and I add, people who actually have talent).

MUST SEE: SNL’s “Black Swan” Parody

Probably the best sketch of the night… only Jim Carrey could make funny a movie as dark and tragic as “Black Swan.”
