ULURU

This is Mount Connor.  It’s often called Fool-uru because people are often fooled into believing that it’s Uluru from a distance.  Oops!!!

This is Uluru at sunset.  Look at the deep red/orange as the sun hits the rock.  It’s breathtaking.

And now, the camels.  Wild camels are all over the outback.  They were brought in decades ago b/c they needed very little water and could do hard labor.  They have since thrived.  You can even go on camel rides.  I passed on that one.  :)

And lastly…something that really surprised me.  Take a look at this sea of white in the pic below.  This was once a river and now it’s dried up.  All of that white that you see is SALT!  Yes, it’s a salt lake.  Australia has many of them.  They’re very impressive to see.
